“Anamnesis,” meaning recollection, speaks to memory not as something fixed, but as something lived, shifting, and felt through the body. It is an intimate dialogue between human presence and the natural world, where landscape is not a setting but a force that shapes perception, time, and identity.

Rather than revisiting memory as a static past, Anamnesis approaches it as a continual becoming—where old and new coexist, and where our connection to nature mirrors our connection to each other.

Anamnesis traces a return inward: to the imprints we carry, to the unseen threads between ourselves and others, and to the fragile, enduring connection that binds us to the natural world.

Filmed at iconic Sado Island landmarks in Japan, the work stands as an architectural homage to Noh tradition, blending history, culture, and nature
